What’s Included in a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

Our exams are designed to do more than determine your prescription. We assess your total eye health from front to back.

Your exam may include:

  • Visual acuity testing for distance and near vision
  • Refraction to determine your glasses or contact lens prescription
  • Eye movement and focusing ability tests
  • Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement
  • Evaluation for cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration
  • Visual Field testing and/or dilation as needed
  • Discussion of any symptoms, lifestyle factors, or vision concerns
  • Review of health history and medication that may affect vision

Dr. Mancini will take the time to explain each step and answer all your questions, so you leave your appointment feeling confident and informed.

Eye Exams for Children and Seniors

We see patients starting at age three, and provide age-appropriate testing for children and seniors. Kids’ vision plays a key role in learning, behaviour, and development, while seniors benefit from close monitoring of age-related conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eye.

Fee-for-Service Transparency

Our practice operates on a fee-for-service basis, meaning payment is due at the time of your visit.

While we don’t bill insurance directly, we’re happy to file your paid visit for you or provide detailed receipts for self-submission, making the process as simple as possible. In this case, any reimbursement will go directly to you.

This approach allows us to focus fully on personalized patient care – without the limitations or rushed appointments that often come with insurance billing models
